Position Overview

The Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of all common areas and providing prompt, courteous service to guests. This role requires excellent time management skills, the ability to respond swiftly to guest requests, and a commitment to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean public washrooms, lobbies, corridors, elevators, etc.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, polish furniture and fixtures.
• Restock cleaning supplies and amenities.
• Remove trash and recycling, assist with linen delivery.
• Provide luggage service, room supplies delivery, guest requests.
• Support housekeepers in cleaning rooms when needed.
• Drive company vehicles for deliveries when required.
• Maintain radio contact with leadership and front desk.
• Adhere to all appearance standards and dress code policies.
• Comply with health, safety and sanitation procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in housekeeping is preferred but not mandatory.
• Valid driver's license with clean abstract
• Professional, courteous customer service skills
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs., bend, stretch, stand for long periods.
• Responsible, team player with excellent time management abilities
• Flexible schedule - able to work days, evenings, weekends
• Can work productively in outdoor weather conditions.

Position Overview

Guest Services Agents are the ambassadors of Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts, providing exceptional customer service from the initial reservation through to check-out. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming, efficient, and memorable experience for our guests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Welcome guests to the Lodge and provide an efficient check-in experience.

·       Handle guest requests or inquiries during their stay to ensure maximum guest satisfaction in person, through email or guest folio.

·       Address all guest issues and complaints in a courteous manner, with the support of the Front Office management team, including assistance with fireplaces.

·       Maintain a professional and presentable appearance at all times.

·       Assist with emergency procedures when required.

·       Some shoveling and Ice chipping of common guest areas & firepit (Winter)

·       Respond to reservation enquiries, complete room reservations and provide guests with up-to-date information on our rates, special offers and packages.

·       Prepare arriving reservations, ensuring guest requests are met to the best of our ability.

·       Assist in providing positive and efficient customer service.

·       Meet with representatives of local attractions and tours to stay current on all options and keep all staff aware of changes.

·       Provide guests with accurate and relevant information about the Lodge, local area and attractions.

·       Book tours, activities and restaurant reservations for guests.

·       Check out guests, provide accurate billing information and correctly process payments.

·       Ensuring the completion of daily logs and tracking

·       Manage the hotel switchboard, directing calls to other departments as necessary.

·       Provide an accurate cash-out report at the end of each shift.

·       Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience:

·       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

·       A passion for customer service; previous experience is an asset.

·       Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to multitask.

·       Able to cope in high pressure situations.

·       Experience with Opera PMS, Microsoft Office and Outlook is an asset.

·       Previous hotel experience preferred.

·       Must be able to work independently and remain calm in the event of emergency situations arise.

·       Willing to work flexible hours.

·       Physical requirements include the ability to endure long periods of standing, sitting, bending, and lifting (up to 50 pounds may be required)

Primary Function:     

To maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in guest rooms and public areas, ensuring all guest requests are handled promptly and courteously. The Housekeeping Supervisor acts as a key liaison between housekeeping staff, management, and guests, fostering excellent communication and teamwork.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1.     Room Management

·       Collect and manage daily checklists of rooms to be inspected

·       Regularly inspect rooms to uphold and enhance quality standards

·       Utilize Opera PMS for efficient room status updates and lost & found tracking

·       Prioritize room inspections: Check-ins and Check-out/Check-ins first, then Stays and Sheet Changes, lastly Checkouts

·       Change room status using in-room phone systems

2.     Team Leadership

·       Provide daily direction, task prioritization, and motivation to housekeeping team

·       Train staff on cleaning procedures, amenities, supplies, and safety protocols

·       Model exemplary grooming, uniform compliance, and guest engagement

·       Assist in conflict resolution among team members when necessary

3.     Operational Management

·       Manage linen inventory, ensuring proper storage and distribution

5.     Compliance and Safety

·       Conduct regular safety checks in guest rooms and staff areas

6.     Flexibility and Cross-Training

·       Be flexible to work AM, PM as required

·       Crosstrain in all housekeeping departments (Room Attendant, Houseperson, Woodsmen, Night Cleaner, etc.)

·       Assist room attendants with making beds and cleaning during peak times or staff shortages

Skills & Experience:

·       Minimum 2 years of experience in hotel housekeeping

·       Good communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset

Primary Function:      The Maintenance Labourer is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks at our lodge, ensuring the upkeep and smooth operation of the property. This role requires a hands-on approach to building maintenance, repairs, renovations, and groundskeeping.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 
·       Carry out daily duties assigned by maintenance leadership team.
·       Perform various building maintenance tasks including drywall repairs, painting, carpentry, tiling, minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
·       Conduct groundskeeping and snow removal using hand tools and machinery.
·       Operate equipment safely, such as snow blowers, front-end loaders, and power tools.
·       Manage shipping and receiving duties, including unloading deliveries and handling waste.
·       Perform maintenance in guest rooms and respond to related complaints.
·       Conduct routine property and system checks, reporting any issues.
·       Handle chemicals safely for maintenance purposes (e.g., hot tub, sewage plant).
·       Drive the guest shuttle outside of Bell hours if needed.
·       Maintain a clean and organized workshop and adhere to safety protocols.
·       Wear appropriate PPE and follow the CRMR Employee Handbook and grooming policies.
·       Record daily tasks and participate in safety meetings as required.
·       Perform other duties as assigned by the maintenance manager.

              Requirements/Experience:

·       Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
·       Experience in basic carpentry, drywall repair, and painting.
·       Skills in electrical, plumbing, or tiling are advantageous.
·       Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks and troubleshoot problems.
·       Commitment to safety standards and learning new skills (firefighting equipment, chemical handling, etc.).
·       Capability to work in various weather conditions and shift patterns.
·       Ability to work independently and handle physical demands such as lifting (up to 80 pounds) and climbing ladders.
